Fresh from their hard-fought victory at Arsenal, West Ham United welcome relegation-threatened Leicester City to the London Stadium for a Premier League clash on Thursday night.

The Hammers will seek revenge against the Foxes after they suffered a 3-1 defeat at the King Power Stadium in December last year.

West Ham ended a four-match winless run in the Premier League and condemned Arsenal to their first top-flight home defeat of the season when they secured a slender 1-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

West Ham has suffered defeats in their last two Premier League home games under Potter (2-0 against Crystal Palace and 1-0 against Brentford).

Previously, they lost three straight matches at the London Stadium under former manager Julen Lopetegui earlier this season. The Hammers now aim to prevent two separate stretches of three consecutive home losses in the same league season.

The East Londoners will back themselves to come out on top on Thursday, as they have won eight of their last nine Premier League home games against promoted teams and have lost only one of their last 14 such matches overall (W11 D2), although that defeat was against Leicester in the aforementioned reverse fixture almost three months ago.

This season, only basement club Southampton, with five points, has earned fewer away points in the Premier League than Leicester, who have accumulated eight.

Furthermore, the Foxes are the only team in the top flight that has not secured a single clean sheet away from home, having conceded a league-high 32 goals in 12 matches.

The Hammers are upbeat after last weekend’s victory and see Thursday’s match as a great chance to outpace their defensively weak rivals, aiming to secure three additional points and kickstart a successful streak.
