Celtic will host Dundee FC at Celtic Park on Monday evening to open the 2026-27 Scottish Premiership season.
Celtic drew 2-2 with AC Milan in their final summer friendly, while Dundee defeated Clyde FC 4-0 in their last Scottish League Cup group match.
After last season’s dramatic title win, Celtic aim to secure a fifth consecutive Scottish Premiership title in 2026-27 and begin their defense with a home victory on Monday.
With three matches left in last season’s Championship Group, Celtic trailed league leaders Hearts by three points. Hearts had led for much of the campaign and appeared poised to end their 66-year wait for Premiership success.
After Hearts drew with Motherwell, Celtic secured consecutive wins and then came from behind on the final day to defeat their title rivals, earning their 14th title in 15 seasons.
Although Dundee have often struggled at Celtic Park, they recently defeated the Scottish champions 2-0 in October 2025, with goals from Clark Robertson and an own goal by Cameron Carter-Vickers.
With Rangers having dropped points in their opening match, Celtic will look to capitalize and start this campaign as strongly as they finished the last.
