Two teams that recently defeated Arsenal will meet at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening. Premier League title contenders Manchester City face Championship high-flyers Southampton in the FA Cup semi-finals.
The winner will move on to the final on May 16, where they will play either Chelsea or Leeds United.
For the first time since August, Man City are back at the top of the Premier League table.
However, their narrow 1-0 win over Burnley on Wednesday left some disappointment, as they missed the chance to improve their goal difference against Arsenal by scoring only once from 28 shots at Turf Moor.
Man City defeated Exeter City 10-1, Salford City 2-0, and Newcastle United 3-1 in the last three rounds.
Now, they are preparing for a record eighth straight FA Cup semi-final and hope to become the first team ever to reach four finals in a row.
Man City lost in the final in each of the last two seasons, but they have been a dominant force in the FA Cup for years.
Since the 2016-17 season, they have won the most matches (44), scored the most goals (157), and kept the most clean sheets (28).
However, Southampton can take some comfort in knowing that City have lost six of their seven FA Cup matches at Wembley under Guardiola. The only other loss was at the DW Stadium against Wigan in February 2018.
Man City are clear favourites against a second-tier team, but Southampton should not be underestimated.
They have been in great form and earned impressive wins over two Premier League teams to reach the semi-finals.
